The Hiram Johnson Memorial was originally contructed in the mid-forties. It was totally restored and reconditioned in 2006. All the moss growth and alkali deterioration was removed, all damages repaired, and all the lettering re-highlighted. The entire unit was restored as close as possible to its original appearance. This type of restoration work includes inspecting, resealing all joints to prevent leakage and staining.
