The Newhall Family Plot was established in 1906 in Cypress Lawn Cemetery. In 2009, the Newhall initiated an extensive restoration project. V. Fontana & Co. of Colma, CA cleaned, restored, and re-set most or all of the marble/granite elements on the plot, removed alkali deterioration and moss growth, and repaired all chipped and damaged edges. The restoration will preserve the historic plot for the future and ensure that the plot will continue to be one of the most admired and visited in the cemetery.
