Pictured here is a variable speed hi-output surface polishing machine. The disk is a 42" stainless steel pad impregnated with industrial diamonds. This is a unique V. Fontana & Co. process, allowing us to apply a variety of finishes from highly polished to sanded, matte, honed, and machined natural, on virtually any type of natural stone. This machine has the capability of finishing large blocks of granite such as a surface plate (shown here) for mounting instruments, to thin veneer slabs of granite used for countertops, building facades, fireplace surrounds, conference tables, and every thickness in between.
